Collection and research

Information on the arrangement of items and on search options

The ‘s Library’s collections, available on open shelves and closed stacks, include some 30,000 books, non-book materials (such as videos, CD-ROMs, DVDs, DVD-based databases) and loose-leaf works, as well as more than 130 current journals and 9 daily or weekly newspapers. Here you’ll find useful information on how collections are arranged and how to search for items in our library catalogue and catalogues of other libraries.

Journals & newspapers

Journal issues – at least from the current year – are arranged alphabetically on the library’s journal display shelves. The following applies for all journals: they may only be borrowed for 3 days (NO renewal option). You can, of course, use our photocopier or book scanner to create a copy of any journal articles that interest you.

Older journal issues are available in the stacks. If you need such a journal, please let us know at the circulation desk. We’ll then fetch the issue you need from the stacks, which will be ready for collection the next day.
